Brilliant pic! Please tell me this isn't a BlackBerry photo?! If it is, you are a BB wizard.

I agree. It's BBBF, so the lapels are part of the look. If I was choosing, I would do otherwise, but I like this as an alternative to "normal."

You probably mean the other Greg, but if me, then BBBF and RLPL.

Interesting ... I hadn't thought about it this way, especially how the two photos are one after the other, but you are totally right!

I think you do it better than yfyf, and that is because your top is less formal (shirt specifically). Personally, I think your effort is better.

I can get behind everything but the shirt. It looks like a flannel to me (not sure if it is) and to me that just is out of place with the rest...especially considering the size of the plaid.

Disappointed not to see further posts from you - assumed you were going to work through critiquing every pic in this thread...

Spoo has way toned down his approach over time. He is not seen sporting shiny ties that often. He has also toned down the accessories. I am not against shiny ties in general...I have some myself, including Charvet. Sometimes that is what a fit needs.

However, what I see often when I see your fits is just too much of a good thing. I am all about loud from time to time, but when you gild the Lilly to the point of excess, it cheapens the whole look and just makes you look somewhat anachronistic. It also is just somewhat overwhelming to look at. How about a muted tie, and standard spread shirt with barrel cuffs and let the suit do the talking? You have some nice stuff and I really think if you were more careful about choosing the individual elements, it would have a better overall result.

Cheers! Well, it's not a BB it's a Samsung Mezmerise but is has a really nice 5mp camera on it with near full manual functionality. Couple that with a nice vintage camera app and...

Well in fairness that critique would be appropriate for a good percentage of the pictures in this thread. At least one on this very page IMO.

Thank you.
Jacket: J. Crew Yorkshire tweed, unlined, wears more like a sweater
Bow: the Cordial Churchman. Made with love out of scraps in a nice ladies S.C. home.

See above. Thrifted (I believe from the SF SC).

Thanks Gnat. Too bad I couldn't get out and ride today. Beautiful sun.

I can't think who you mean...

Actually, "the man in the picture look rubbish" is really growing on me as an economical, back-to-basics comment. I wait for "man in picture look good".
