From the suavity of Butler to my poor schleppiness (schleppitude? One wonders . .
I knew it!!!1! Walter Ulbricht just faked his death in 1973 and now he hides in NYC (probably helping the US building this wall in the south)--home of the class enemy!! What an irony...

Been a busy few weeks. This was this past weekend, with my dad, at my Grandfather Vito's funeral. He was 95.
My condolences. 95 is a great innings, but still, it is never easy. You and your father both look smashing, and respectful of the occasion.
If wearing the carnation inspires you to start wearing carnations on more pleasant occasions as well, a florist can make one up for you in minutes that will sit flatter against your lapel (they cut off the stem, and then use tape and wire to create a new stem, so you lose that "fat" bit just beneath the calyx). You could do it yourself easily if you had the materials, too, though I've never tried.
Welcome to the thread. Let me be the first to observe that your collar points are not properly hidden under your jacket's lapels. With only 12 posts under your belt you're not likely to see the irony, but the regulars will be amused.
