So, my dear fellas here, are you wearing your functional buttons unbuttoned? What do you think others (i.e., the majority of ignorants) think?

I wear them unbuttoned because I like them like that and dress the way I do to please my self, if they ask about the buttons I will inform them.

PandA, you've morphed into your avatar. I like where you're going lately with the minimal 60s look. You could use some classically-styled, quality footwear to complement it.

You're the one who's publishing a blog, not us. Don't get pissy because somebody has a suggestion for improvement.

Yup - so obviously you should connect the dots and realize it is not about the feedback.

Whatever, continue on with your blog. I was just making a suggestion on a simple way to improve upon it.

I see I was not alone. You chose to make it personal.

Dawg, Today's look

As for your blog, you post the same pics as you do in SF. They were good enough all along so not sure why they aren't now. Buts that me.

Thanks for the Wikipedia link - I was initially unfamiliar with the name (or maybe it's me, and I'm purposely forgetting who I was).

In any event, you must admit that I look quite well preserved for being 117 years old .

Cheers Parker! I totally agree...I've been on the hunt and lookout for some nice black lace-ups that are in my price range.

My condolences. 95 is a great innings, but still, it is never easy. You and your father both look smashing, and respectful of the occasion.

If wearing the carnation inspires you to start wearing carnations on more pleasant occasions as well, a florist can make one up for you in minutes that will sit flatter against your lapel (they cut off the stem, and then use tape and wire to create a new stem, so you lose that "fat" bit just beneath the calyx). You could do it yourself easily if you had the materials, too, though I've never tried.

It looks nice, but I'd prefer a shade darker trousers with that jacket. More a "light mid-grey", if that makes sense, like the grey bit of the tie.
