I'd wager that those buttons are one inch thick.

Lovely tie.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Slightly different look for me today. I wrote an article on the perils of the stealth wealth aesthetic for my blog yesterday, so felt inspired to take a nod or two from that direction. However, as I suggested in the article, I really don't like that aesthetic for myself, so couldn't resist changing my mind and going from discreet to somewhat flashy by adding in the waistcoat/pocket watch and black suede shoes and charcoal grey hat. Hey, you have be true to yourself, right?

I like this very much, HF. It has enough flash, without burning my retinas.

Welcome! Post pics.

No fit for me today. I am the official cook for today. Getting the Turducken ready for the oven.

For you Furriners, that is a boneless Turkey, stuffed with a boneless Duck, with a boneless chicken inside....then stuffed with a Cajun Sausage stuffing. Only in Louisiana!!!

Have a grea day, everyone.

Don't forget that tomorrow is the tweed challenge!

Mike

Bespoke from Ede & Ravenscroft, from a Fox Flannel I picked up from the B&S forum here a while back. My figure's changed a little since I got it, so it could probably use a fit tune-up (waistcoats instantly reveal any change in physique).

Thanks. If I go out tomorrow, I'll try to do better by searing them with some tweed.

Killer cords, Alan. Nice fit, AR6. I like this SW+MC cross pollination.

Interesting blog entry HF. Your wardrobe recommendations are spot on, but it made me wonder if there is a difference between someone who is going for "stealth wealth" and someone who is simply a conservative minimalist. I picture myself in the latter camp even with my tendency to wear "Rodney Dangerfield" sport coats from time to time.
