Hey Rob. It seems to me that the spread collars you favor deprive you of your neck.

I'd like to see you in a narrower and lower-banded collar just to see how much of a difference it makes. Any chance of that happening?

Full disclosure: I have the opposite problem. I've been having shirts made with extra tall collars in an attempt to camouflage my giraffe-like neck. I think it's been working pretty well, so it ought to work the other way 'round, too, right?

Love very much this effect where the shoulders meet the sleeves.

Thanks. I was a little heavier when I got it some years ago, and it fit better then. So that's part of the reason it's a bit loose. But even then I wanted to try a smaller size too, but this was the smallest size Loro Piana did. In the end I just loved the buttery richness of the suede enough to go for it and decided the fit was good enough for casualwear. I don't think I could have found a nicer feeling suede, so overall, I'm happy with the compromise.

Lovely outfit by the way.

Yes, the flowers are real. Better supply lately at a market near home; and I recently found a stand open early in the a.m. that sells by the stem, so I can pick what looks best. And thanks to all for the kind words.

I'm delighted that my intervention worked.

Today: We see the young attorney in captivity -

...and in the wild.

Shoes are Stuart McGuire shell longwings in what looks to be a #8 approximation. The shell isn't as nice as the Horween I've seen on Aldens, so I assume that either these shoes come from a time when more makers of shell existed in the US, or it's Japanese shell.

And I know that many of you have far different taste in shoes than I. But for now, I like my clunky gunboats.

Great shoes.

Sorry, I earned this one. You will need Reevolving to characterize you as an "old man" and then maybe Vox will make you an ID. Don't worry, since you well-tailored clothing in elegant fabrics and patterns you shouldn't have any difficulty qualifying.

Interesting question. Suit maker is Zegna, but the shoulders have been so severely reworked by my tailor. I don't think the roping was originally this accentuated.

Thanks, this was not my first or second choice for socks, but for some reason the sock fairy hasn't replenished my drawer lately.

I thought attorney have a bunch of legal secretaries handle chores like photocopying etc?

I like the haircut and glasses combination. You can walk into the 60's and fit right in. And I mean it with the highest regards.
