- sky blue shirt with navy solid grenadine tie
- white shirt with mustard yellow tie (maybe with very small designs)
- risky but i think do-able ... very light pink shirt with a solid navy tie.

In my experience, i've found brown chalkstripe to not be very versatile.

Thank you. Watcha think of this?

^^ Aside from the fact that smoking is bad for you, that's awesome.

Great ensemble, especially the briefcase.

MBrenin - looks a little 'conservative' today - surprising.

Hey, Urban - Nice, the topcoat - however, I think a little more practice tying the tie would help. I learned by watching a video on YouTube..now it's perfect...

Threadbearer - I have hand washed in a little Woolite, hang it up to dry on a padded hangar and steam it back into shape.

Not sure where it comes from, but it's printed silk. Barney's could have gotten it from Ghana...

The colors aren't as harsh as your earlier post - the pale blue & tan is very pleasing. That said, I think the fit on your suit is superior, which is much harder to perfect than choosing the right shirt & tie. BTW, is your chalkstripe suit charcoal, or dark brown? Can't really tell from the pics.

Thanks for the tip...Do you think it's too tight, or too loose? Personally I like my bowties a tad sloppy; too perfect is a bit OCD for me.

Dark, dark brown with a grayish tone.

Cheers guys. The tie is a Drakes Cashmere a friend picked up for me at a sample sale in London last Spring...love it! The fabric on the coat is Hardy Alsport Fawn Houndstooth.

It does look great. Fortunately I decided to wear the same thing today, but don't think I did it quite as well.

Pink and green: Sunglasses: Persol Gloves: unlined suede, from a tiny shop at the edge of Piazza di Spagna. Chambray BD Shirt: American RTW, can't remember the name (BD baggies?) Sweater: Scottish shetland. Hawick maybe. Jeans: RRL selvedge, still stiff. Shoes: Clarks desert boots, with untied, thick canvas strings instead of laces (snapped). I've turned them into comfy slip-ons. Corduroy jacket: Italian, very old, can't remember the maker. It's the jacket I keep in the trunk of my car.

This combo is almost TOO good, Ranger. Truly fabulous. I've never really cared for gray on gray (trousers and socks) but that's negligible. Great stuff, man.
