What is the best way to stop jeans from bleeding?

Hey

What's the best way to stop blue denim bleeding onto shoes? Ive seen people recommend tape, and others dont recommend it, and I dont really see rolling up jeans as a solution as imo that leads to a different look so does anyone have any ideas/thoughts?

I already have, maybe 4-5 times and they still bleed

As in, washing machine + machine dried? That should get rid of all excess dye

They were washine machine washed, but not machine dried. Would a trip to the dry cleaners sort them out then?

some jeans have a greater tendency to bleed i have worked for Gap, and their jeans tend to bleed/rub off. it all depends on the brand that makes them. i also don't suggest every throwing your jeans in the dryer, even though it can soften the cotton up, it changes the size/fit of your jeans - always hang dry

No. People go to the dry cleaners to keep from losing dye.

Actually, drying is going to do no more shrinking than a hot soak would anyway. In this case it's main purpose would be to agitate the jeans and remove as much dye as possible (wet jeans + agitation = dye loss)

There's only one proven method: Dip them in wax. I swear it works. You need a lot, at least a sink full. You'll have to buy bricks of it but a good grocery store should carry some. It will take a lot of melting of the wax, of course, so get a good big kettle to melt it all in. Then you can either dip the jeans straight into the kettle of wax or pour the wax into your kitchen sink and then put the jeans in. Wait til wax hardens. Chip the jeans out of the wax, and wear!

if you took myself, xenox, andliu/plzzzz, melted us down, and then cast us into a mold shaped like a penis with the face of richard nixon, we would still not be half as weird as you are
