MTM Summer Suit

I was planning on getting MTM Summer Suit/Wedding Suit. I want a full wool suit but I am not sure what to look for in the material. When I look at the fabric what should I be looking for? Is there a difference in the construction of the suit?

I've just one word for you kid, Fresco. Incidentally , I just noticed a length, in navy, for sale on the buy/sell.

What a coincidence! But it is a great choice for a summer cloth. Very breathable, yet doesn't appear overly informal.

Another good choice would be a mohair blend - as mohair is stronger it can be woven in a much lighter fabric, it can stretch up to 30% and regain its shape, and hence it resists wrinkles very well.

As for construction you might try a half or even quarter lined jacket where either just the sides and top of the back or just the top of the back and part of the sides are covered in lining fabric. A tailor actually asked me "why would you ever want a less than full lined suit?" Avoid anyone who asks such a stupid question. Oxxford do many of their lighter weight suits with a quarter lining. http://www.oxxfordclothes.com/make06.asp

This would be pure speculation but I'd venture to guess that Oxxford makes 90% of their jackets with a quarter lining.

You may be right. I don't have very extensive experience with their stuff, and two of the items I have seen were winter jackets in alpaca and lambswool which were fully lined. The 3-4 suits I have/have seen that I can remember and the fresco (?) navy blazer I have are/were quarter-lined.

I actually went to Oxford in NYC to check out some of their RTW suits that were kind of nice. I really did not look into detail at the whole store but I may have to go back.

When I go to look at fabric how can i tell if i am looking at quality and not crap. Anything i should look out for?
