Ok, confess! Who has made an Excel file with his wardrobe/wishlist?

I had been working on an Excel file containing my current wardrobe and the things I still have to buy before SF, but since coming to this forum and AAAC I almost started from scratch. Maybe we can exchange some ideas that will help us organize better. I read an old thread where someone suggested an Access database for this purpose, but I don't have knowledge of Access, so I'll go first by saying what I do in Excel and let this thread go its way, even if it's not my way

So, I have a sheet for each of the following categories: suits, blazers/sportcoats, shirts, pants, shoes, sweaters, shoes, socks, belts, t-shirts/polo shirts, accessories and a sheet with the title priorities.
Of course, someone could have a separate sheet for ties or something else but I don't have too many of these accessories so I put them all in one sheet.

In each sheet I have a column of what I have, one or more columns with number of items, descriptions, fabrics, etc. , then another with the items in that category that I still need along with columns with descriptions, etc. , I think you get the idea.

The sheet with the title "priorities" lists the items that I should buy before anything else along with possible costs so I can get an idea of the total I have to spend to achieve a decent wardrobe.

What are your thoughts? Have you done something similar and do you have any suggestions?
Let's put the Styleforum Infinite Intelligence at work

I save links in an un-sent email draft to myself. Mostly things I see online that I want to impulse buy. Once a month I go over the email, clean out whatever isn't available anymore and what no longer interest me. Then decide if I want to buy things from what's left.

I also do this for my other hobbies (cycling mostly). Though those items tend to have longer shelf lives and found at multiple dealers so I just save part numbers/descriptions instead.

Yeah, I keep everything in a spreadsheet in Google Docs. Nice to then be able to access it from your smartphone.

Guilty. I have an Excel file that's highlighted with things I already own vs. what I hope to own. What can I say, I get bored at work.

It's mostly general items, like a navy v-neck sweater or a tan harrington jacket. Occasionally I'll have specific items; Alden Longwings or a Fred Perry Cardigan.

I have a 10 foot square corkboard on my living room wall

(not)

I do have a spreadsheet file though. But I organize *everything*. I have spreadsheets for kitchen utensils, DVDs, magazines, clothes, artwork....everything. I also keep all of my receipts neatly organized. This is mostly for insurance purposes, but also because I'm a geek
