Identity Protection Companies: LifeLock, etc.

I have been considering signing up for one of the Identity Monitoring companies at the request of my financial advisor. She essentially said they are all the same but told me to pick one of the following:

LifeLock $9.00/month

idwatchdog $19.99/month

Identity Guard $17.99/month

I have read some about all the only glaring difference to me is idwatchdog doesn't over the
$1 million, Identity theft insurance. Not sure what they over as payment, every review site says N/A. Just wondering if anyone has one and see what your experience has been like.

The founder of this company who kept running around challenging people to steal his identity by showing people his SS # ended up having his id stolen. FWIW.

Just put security freezes on your credit reports. You don't need to use those companies.
