Anyone vacation in St. Maartin?

I'm planning a trip in late April or early May and will likely stay on Dawn Beach or Cupecoy at one of these 2 places-

Who's travelled there, what sort of expereinces with the restaurants, nightlife, etc. can you enlighten me on?

I was at the Westin hotel at Dawn Beach for a few nights when I traveled there in Spring 2008. The vast majority of nightlife (apart from a few clubs and parties around Orient Beach) is on the dutch side. Check out this thread for other details: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=65543
