Good thing I added some extra insulation this winter. Except not really.

yeah, actually I am ok when I am "dressed" - in a suit and overcoat and gloves and hat. its when I am not that I get cold. around the house I am wearing 2-3 sweatshirts and a watch cap to keep warm. and our heating is good.

Yes, it's well-known among us skinny types that winter is freaking cold ; it's just a matter of learning to dress so that you replicate your missing fatsheath. I'll agree that it's more noticeable when relaxing at home, so investing in warm loungewear or (like me) just wearing cold-weather gear like a fleece vest and a pair of shearling slippers helps. Maybe it's an opportunity to check out some of Uniqlo's new HeatTech fabrics!

On the plus side, when summer hits you'll be far more comfortable than you used to be, and much less sweaty.

Plusses of being thin:
- cooler in summer
- better looking
- healthier
- air travel is slightly less hellish

Minusses of being thin:
- freaking cold in winter
- wooden chairs/benches are less comfortable

If it weren't for all the clothing I'd have to have altered again, I'd seriously consider gaining 20 pounds back just because of this.

when i lost substantial weight I ws unbelievably cold my first winter ... :/

Cosign all the above from the ex-fatties. When I was 60-70 pounds heavier, I liked the winter and could easily go out with a thin jacket and T-shirt with not much problems. Now I want to hibernate and wrap myself in swaths of clothing when it gets cold.
