Ok, before the Arrested Development fanboys get their panties in a bunch, I mean is this the greatest comedy cancelled that you can't find DVD's of nor reruns? Some absolutely classic epsiodes, Zoo Animals on Wheels, the modeling school episode, and I can't find episodes anywhere.

That was a great show.

I have a theory that there's two types of comedy. There's the comedy where, if you synopsize the plot into one or two paragraphs, you find that what actually happened really isn't funny at all, the gags were ancillary to the entire arc of the story (see: most romantic comedies.) Get A Life is a rare instance of that other kind of comedy, where the funny is worked into the structure of the plot. I can't even read the episode synopses on Wikipedia without cracking up.

That said, I haven't seen it since it went off the air. I think my sister has a DVD.

Fun fact: Charlie Kaufmann (Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine, Adaptation, Synedoche New York, etc.) got his start writing on Get A Life.

Big time Chris Elliot fan here.

There is a DVD out with a few episodes from season 2 I believe. It has Spewey & Me at least.

A while back someone had ripped every single episode he recorded off his VCR and it was up on mininova.org for a while in Divx format. I grabbed it and converted to DVD. I still watch it often.

edit: Chris v. Donald is fucking CLASSIC

his model name was "Sparkles", if I remember correctly. I think he wore a tiara walking down the runway.

No, it is not the best canceled Fox comedy. That distinction belongs to "Action."

Although easy to purvey, I prefer In Living Color. Get A Life is really good though. Favorite Chris Elliott quote: "These pipes are cleeeeeeeeeeeeean" -CB

In Living Color had a long, great run. I don't know if I'd put it into this category.
