Growing Faux Hawk Out = ???

Hi, I used to have a medium/long haircut (longer sideburns and bangs) but I got a random impulse to get a faux hawk cut instead. Now, I really regret it.

The dilemma is, my faux hawk is king of in a weird position, as its a bit too long to stand up properly, but I don't want to cut it shorter since I want to grow out my hair again.

So my question is how will my hair even look if I keep this current faux hawk haircut but grow it out? Will it look very strangely proportioned? If yes, how so?

Work on a long term plan with your hairstylist. Tell them where you want to end up.
