Brown leather jacket with lighter brown shoes?

I wonder if this combination could work. Does brown shoes have always to be same tone or darker than the jacket? Can you only wear a brown jacket with brown shoes? Because it's clear black shoes don't look good with a brown jacket, even a really dark one.

all leathers should be as close as possible to the same color

the tan shoes for a jacket that dark are even worse than black shoes

I think it would look fine. Same colored shoes and jacket would look too "matchy" IMO.

Agree with above. OP's look seems great w/ those shoes.
Don't be afraid to use more than 2-3 colors, for chrissakes folks.

Don't try too damn hard. I'm not running around trying to find a pair of navy blue boots to match my peacoat.

I like to match my shoes with my mood ring color.

+1 for not needing to have everything super-duper matchy, just make sure they don't clash.

Actual fit pics of items worn together always helps SF make the call. Added benefit is that the pics make me laugh sometimes. I love tragic fit pics.

okay looks like we are done here.

..as a rule, the shoes should "ALWAYS" match the belt
