Depends on the kind of alopecia. If it's universalis, read Warlok's third point above. If it's areata there's hope. Lots of topical/injected steroids are involved, though. Speak to a dermatologist for more info.
Yeah good point about the distinction, I assumed it was the the former. Bottom line is you are best off talking to a specialist first rather than trying diet changes or fruit juice or whatever based on internet advice.
