i hear some amazing shit in the elevators at the office:

"it felt so good to have a huge dinner party. i missed cooking for my friends and hugging them."

"i used to want to be rich, but now i just want to live in the city with only 2 roomates."

"i am very euphemistic about 2010."

"i need to start eating more locally, more organically."

lol, euphemistic. Yesterday, a girl at the office (the type that loves to tell stories and talks super-fast) went on for 10 minutes about how Victoria's Secret is sold out of a coat she wanted, but she definitely made the order in time, they were just too slow in charging her card. She cried at the end because she just really, like, wanted that coat, you know?

If these are the dumbest things you hear, then you live in a world full of geniuses.

Heard one yesterday between two of the marketing staff. She: "I'm really not a fan of Powerpoint". He: "Well, I am, and I amn't". Neither of them actually noticed anything was wrong with that.

Perhaps it is a reference to a movie or television show with which you are unfamiliar.

You know, if Roland Loden of Germany spouted these gems, we'd all be laughing very hard in our diagrams.

I work in the ghetto and I hear that kind of garbage and other such desecrations of (American) English on a daily basis. As soon as I step into my workplace, I can feel my IQ literally drop 50 points from its lofty .... say, 130+

I see desecrations of (American) English on a daily basis without going to a ghetto.
