I was actually given a couple of Peruvian wines as a gift a couple of years ago. Haven't cracked them open yet. Kind of interested in how they'll turn out, but I don't think I could replace them since I don't think that they're imported here.

Escorihuela-Gascon winery, Argentina. Excellence and consistency.

Lately, I've been looking past most south American wines. I feel the price for many of their greatest wines has gone up quite a bit and it has certainly lost some if its "hidden value" luster. The Don Melchor and everything is still excellent, but with that coin I'm sure you can guess which region I am turning to instead.

I've had their lower-end Gascon malbec wines. They are OK, enough that I bought a 2nd bottle, but nothing spectacular. I assume their Escorihuela-Gascon line is tastier.
