anyone know of a site that will let you download fonts free of charge or at a low cost?

while the legality may be questionable, in the past Ive found most of the fonts Ive looked for on filesharing apps

If you know how to use torrents, just try searching for "fonts" on any of the major free trackers, and you'll be amazed! mininova.org has a few well seeded ones at the moment.

Most of the best fonts still have to be purchased. The ones you get from the torrents are subpar and not expert fonts.

All the Adobe fonts are on the filesharing networks.

However, there are legal ways of getting at least some reasonably good fonts. Most of them are TrueType, though. Can Macs use those?

Adobe fonts are good but they're limited.. they don't have the all ligatures, they rarely have more than 2 weights, and they don't have small caps and display versions. That's what I'm talking about. Macs can use every font type.. that I've seen anyway. Truetype and Postscript included.

I have a rapidshare link to:
Fancy Fonts - Decorated, Letterheads, Calligraphy
Some nice fancy fonts (22) . Includes "Aon Cari Celtic", a true calligraphy font made by hand, the nice "Roughwork" draft-style font, "Deutschland Gothic", a modern, appealing Gothic font, caps suitable for decorated and illuminated manuscripts, and many more. Great for crafts and art projects.

If you like I'll PM the link to you.
