What's the appeal of the wings/horns x dayton service boots - Page 67

^ The leather insole will mold to your heel eventually but you have to wear them. They start to get really comfortable after a few months and don't break down like cushioned insoles. As for the sizing comment I read it on their website. Edit: found it here.

My pair of black nubuck came in while I was away in NYC, I think they arrived Thursday.

I'm very happy with my boots, look great, fit well (little heel slip), no Dayton stamp, leather laces, can't wait to beat them up a bit. I sized down 1 size, for a 8, there is a little space in the toe, but I think a 7.5 would have made it uncomfortable.

I actually wasn't expecting them either, since most people have said they've been sending shipping confirmations, which I never got. I was going to call them today, but they ended up showing up when I was away.

who told you that was dayton sizing?

Some pics of the oiled black I have. Would anyone with wh version like to resolve this stacked heel thing by taking some measurements of theirs? Maybe I'm alone here, but I think there's a difference! And anybody else notice the toecaps on their boots are a uneven?

The stamp on the sole is fine, but the one on the ankle mad.gif

i;v seen hundreds of people who know what dayton is about and understand there made by hand. never in my  20 years have i seen such a bunch of male diva's who act like the world moves around them.

A prev poster said they outsourced some of the orders to handle the workload. Who knows some were prob made it in China lol

wouldn't be suprised. But no, I've never had a prob with other 'hand made' boots–NDC, Alden, etc. I'm not faulting Dayton as a whole company. But would have been nice to get what I paid for. jus sayin

You worked at Dayton?

Anyways, I thought the whole point about hand made was that it is fault proof because it is inspected by the makers' eyes and hands..

Are they actually shut down? I'm not getting any answer either and I still haven't received tracking info.

Top notch customer service as usual.
