That's great, good for them. I think I spoke to Michelle as well, she was really sweet.

And nahneun, I'm a 43 in achilles lows, and I'm a 9.5 in W+H service boot. My foot is approx 11 inches long and I'm a size 10.5 on the brannock scale.

Had a lengthy convo with Stephen Encarnacao, CEO of Dayton Boots. He is an amazing guy to be honest. He was downright humble and clarified all the doubts i had. The heels are stacked leather heels with the rubber piece to protect the bottom. Same as those pictures above from Blazing. The lining is kip leather. I hope this helps.

Thank you! Guess I'm going with a 5.5 then. Should have bought the W+H one on B&S like two years ago lolol

They are expecting more orders. Michelle was busy and i could not get hold of her. I got her reply confirming the heel leather issue. Confirmed - leather heel. So that is sorted. These are some of the nicest people i have dealt with in making an order over the phone. Great customer service.

As for the sizing. Mine are similar to yours. 11 inches from toe to heel. I will probably end up being fitted with a 9.5.

I think you guys are right.

I have a 10" heel to toe and I fit a 6.5
so 3 sizes to 9.5 for 1" inch seems accurate.

I'm 9.25 from heel to toe without socks....so I guess about a 9.5 with socks... guess they were right about the 6 then :|~ better to size up a bit than size down too much... unless those boots are big on you, blazing, in which case i should go down to 5.5 lol...

ARGHHHHHH i have no idea

So does anyone know for sure if they will have the Dayton logo?

"Hello Dayton:

I have been hearing and talking about the 'Dayton service boot' for awhile
now in a particular clothing forum. I am sure you noticed the increase of
inquiry since your announcement of 125th anniversary (congrats!)

I have taken the time to try my best using your guide to measure my foot.

The general: I am interested in the distress brown leather w/ pull tab,
leather laces, and a non-slip sole. I am unsure about the width, perhaps
D/medium. (I am more on the flat-footed side)

Shoes I usually wear and sizes include: Vans (size9 -- thought recently I
had to size up to a 10 with their alternative line "OTW"), Paul Smith boot
(Ricard) (size42), Clarks desert boots (size9), Addidas (size9.5)...I
believe I am a pretty standard size 9.

Approximate measurements in inches:
Heel: 13.75
Instep: 9.5
Ball: 10.5
Foot length: 10.75
(I measured by wrapping the measuring tape around my foot for the heel,
instep, and ball).

I have heard great things and really appreciate your time. I hope to
possibly place an order soon!"

Thanks for your email. From your measurements and your prior experience with
Other brands, it sounds like you are most likely a Dayton 8.5.

That said, if you can ring us at: 604 253-6671, we can walk you through
a few questions to help determine the best fit in a Dayton service boot.
Please ask for Kayla or Michelle.

Also, before calling think about whether or not you will be utilizing
anything that might increase the volume need of the boot e.g. an
orthotic device, foot bed, wearing extra socks etc.

We will be happy to serve you and we look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Stephen

That just confuses me even more. 10.75 inch length to 11 inch length is a full size increase? Jesus ******* christ...

I know I have small feet, but I honestly doubt that I am a 4.5 in dayton boots.

I doubt that too. Pretty much everyone across the board just went down one size from their regular shoe size. For example I'm a 10.5 and I wen't with a 9.5 and it fits perfectly. I tried 9.0 and I couldnt get my heel in.

If they are sized exactly like CPs, I would be most happy. One insole would make it perfect. If they are larger than CPs, I need to size down half a size more.

I ordered a pair and had to exchange them. I was sized 8.5 by them and it was a solid inch too long. They said that I should size down to an 8 (I was expecting sizing down to a 7.5, but we'll see). I am an 8D in Alden trubalance/barrie lasts and a 9.5 in nike/adidas. Also, by boots did not come with a stacked heel, it was rubber. My boots also came with cotton laces, so I specified I wanted leather laces on the next pair, and they complied with no extra charge. My boots will probably arrive in a week.
