He was 1000 times better than Steve Carell in the original The Office. Carell looks like he's trying too hard to get into character (whereas Ricky G was probably playing himself for the most part).

+1. So much more of a natural than Carell. I like Carell but he is much less believable than Gervais as the boss. Also, the humor in the US version is more dumbed down.

Also his stand up was fucking awful. I stopped it 10 minutes in, because I, and everyone else I was with didn't laugh once. It was seriously one of the worst comedy routines I've seen in awhile. He's less funny than those ass clowns on P. Diddy's "Bad Boys of Comedy".
