Frozen tilapia fillets -> thaw -> coat very lightly with olive oil - > coat with super secret bread crumb/spices mix -> bake @ 425 till crispy. Meanwhile, Luck's pinto beans & cornbread from mix. Local hot chow-cow. Voila! Breaded baked fish & beans/cornbread. Alternatively broiled fish + cuban black beans & rice.

Steak is the ultimate quick&easy meal, but you have to predict that you're going to want quick&easy so that you can let the meat thaw. Carbonara was a good suggestion. I had fettucini alfredo with mushrooms last night. It didn't take long but you have to remember to keep some heavy cream around. Salads can be great too. I really like some of the salads in bouchon. They're easy to make and you can make them in quantity. They keep fairly well so you can make them in large enough batches at the beginning of the week so that you'll always have some when you're hungry. I do the same with soups. They take time to make but when you want them, reheating takes just a couple of minutes. Or if you dont' have any prepared, just a quick greek salad which either a lemon or balsamic & olive oil dressing is terribly satisfying. And there's always sandwiches... I love salami, so i always have some of that around so I can make salami sandwiches with lettuce and dijon. It takes 2 minutes to prepare, is filling, and tastes pretty damned good. The key is to have good rolls on-hand. I always put them in the oven for a short while to give them a bit of a crust.

I just made celeriac remoulade and lentil salad with a dijon vinaigrette. They're probably the two easiest things in Bouchon to make and you can make them ahead of time. It took me about an hour but now i've got satisfying salads/snacks for the next few days.

This was a 'demo' item at Trader Joe's. I liked it so much that I have made it at home several times at home.

Mini Pizza:

Cut an english muffin in half.
Spread cream cheese on each half.
Place some broccoli florets on each half.(You can sub this with green peppers or chopped cabbage)
Sprinkle some salt.
Place a cheese single on each half.
Bake in oven at 500 degrees for ten minutes.
