My fiancee's dog ran off this morning. She is torn up about it and I'm probably not getting laid until it comes home

Losing a beloved pet at anytime is hard, but at least when a dog is very old there is the consolation that the dog had a good long life and died full of years. (I feel much the same way about people.)

If you really want heartbreak, try losing a magnificent dog that's your pride and joy to bloat just after his third birthday!

when I was 17 one of our dogs dropped dead of a heart attack at age 4.

I hope your dog gets better. The loss of a pet can just be crushing.

I have two dogs and few months ago I though that older one is going to die. Doctor said there might a cancer but fortunately it was discovered to be an infection which could be cured with medicines.

I really hope your friend will get better soon.
