we think she caught some sort of bacterial infection. at this point it's gone to her brain, and there's nothing we can do =/

my dad is running her to an emergency vet now, but honestly shes so old (between 13-15) really can't hope for much

Sorry to hear this Teger ... I know how difficult this can be. A dog really can be a part of the family.

yea I'm upset but I know she's had a great life. we got her when she was about 2 years old as a stray off a street, and she rewarded us with 11 years as an awesome friend. its just kind of shocking because in terms of our old dogs (another 12, another 16) she was in the 'best' shape, but I guess at her age her immune system isn't really up to the task of fighting something bad off.. so she deteriorated so rapidly

It sounds like she hasn't had to suffer long, which is good. I've been through this, and know how painful such a loss can be. All the best...

good update: they think they can save her, she's gonnas pend the night getting IV antibiotics at the vets...
