Bespoke unstructured jackets

Are Chan and Jantzen any good at this? Any other tailors to consider? I'm thinking corduroy or, umm, what other fabrics look good unstructured? Now may be the time to start the ordering process in order to take delivery by fall.

I think anything looks good unstructured if you have the body to wear it. How unstructured do you want them to be? I'm not sure many tailors will be willing to take out all shoulder padding and canvassing for a non shirt-jacket - and even those might be refused.

taliors that i have been too in HK will do any thing you ask of them, but it will be easier if you also show them a pic/ sample so they fully understand! perhaps choose something in linen

Wool/silk, silk/linen, cotton blends are all common in unstructured jackets.

My tailor here in Scottsdale showed me a jacket that he is making for a customer that is nearer to shirt construction than it is jacket construction. Very very light silk with no padding at all.

Intriguing.

I'm thinking of something like the sportcoats Trovata made last Fall/Winter. I have a corduroy one that has no padding in the shoulders, full lining but no canvas.
