Computer People Help Me

Ok. So I got a new laptop. Windows 7 ultimate and all that shit. I turn it on seems pretty cool do the setup and I try to get online. Only google sites load, I can plug it directly into the router and it works fine, but the wireless won't work? I have search and I have found several people have this problem and people tell them DNS problem... and a lot of computer lingo. I need an idiot prove fix. I know it is a netgear wireless thing and thats about it. I would post on a better venue but I don't post anywhere else and it seems we have smart people on here anyway and I have been drinking because of my failed wireless networking abilities.

the wireless thinkg in a netgear CG814WG v2 if that helps.

You daint mention if the router was pre configured or not. I would reccomend reseting the router by pressing the little button on the back with a pen/pencil/paper clip. Then connecting to your wireless network (It will be named NetGear by default). Once internet connectivity is live, get the manual out and start locking down the settings.
