It never occurred to me that since AAAC is the gateway drug to SF that I already had interactions with many of you. I mean, I see your [avatars &] posts here and feel like I know some of you but it wasn't until I checked my PM box over there that I realized I already knew you!

FYI, the Howard/Pathmark thread is still going.

an interesting thought. Definitely true of members of my vintage (including myself), now, given the ways the boards have diversified and grown, I suspect not as much, but an interesting thought nonetheless.

To illustrate: I was searching regarding the merits of a quality suit. I found AAAC and SF. I joined AAAC and had many questions answered. I also found out about SF but it was a much larger beast and intimidation set in.

The slow, calm pace of AAAC made it easy to stick around. Then I got used to it, like after you first turbo your car & feel the rush, the torque sucking you back into the seat with each thrust of the shifter. But after some time, you get used to it and start looking for more mods.

Hence, I jumped into SF and never looked back. Here is where home is and if it wasn't for the jankiness of the site going down, I probably would have never even went back there. At all.

I received a couple of PMed complaints but honestly I don't see what was wrong with it. There were no nips or anything showing.

Lol. I mean compared to some of the other avatars I've had and some I've seen from others. Remember the "Dayum" avatar? How was that different?

that one was clothed. and it doesnt really have to be clothed. ive seen naked avatars but done in a tasteful or artistic way that is fine by me. do i really need to explain or articulate the differences
