i probably wouldn't give them a second look but there's a shot in the catalog that makes them look pretty badass. they need to put up shots of their shoes being worn.

i'd bought a pair last year and was disappointed in the look and construction in person. Returned them and bought a pair of Russell's instead.

The watch is solid. If you don't miss the 150, what's the harm? There are many more expensive watches out there you could have dropped coin on.

But here's this from my perspective. My $30 Timex from Wal Mart is not all that different. But the thing that catches everyone's attention is the strap. So many people have told me they like my watch because of the strap and wonder where I got it.

i had that timex and 2 straps in my cart yesterday but held off. looks good, gonna have to pull the trigger now

And they're not the best Red Wing Deck Chukkas out there imho...

These are better:

And some UK websites have them for 150 USD right now.

You might like it a little better if you loop the extra length of strap back through that first keeper like so: Personally, I'd just return it and get (or save for) a nicer watch. Having said that, the only thing that matters is whether you like it or not. If you do, then enjoy wearing it!

It looks very big for a Timex.

If you have $150 for a JCrew Timex, why not put it in a saving account and save up a little more and get a much nicer watch? Just my thoughts...

Was jazzed about the chance to visit a store w/ a mens section... not a damn thing I wanted under 98$.

If anybody has a pair of the white or dill Tompkins pants in sz 32x32 (or 32x34) in the vintage slim/484 urban slim that they want to sell, let me know.

This whole watch issue just won't die, will it. Look, for around 30 bucks, you can pick up a Timex Field Expedition watch that is VERY similar to the J. Crew watch. Same size, metal casing, glass crystal. Differences are: no distressing, "Expedition" stamped on the face, green or white background instead of black.

BUT, there's nothing wrong with the J. Crew watch. I've just decided I'm not going to spend that much on a Timex.

anybody have a pair of the Vintage Slim Fit Jeans? What's the fit like? Quality?
^ quality is pretty good, a lot of j crew's jeans are made in canada. i prefer the 484 jeans, but the vintage slims are similar to the apc new standard, the rise is regular and you're looking at an 8-inch or so hem circumference.
do they fit true to size? Do they stretch out a bit? Thinking of picking some up. I currently have Flat Head SE05BSP in a 32
post #4800 of 5155
If you already own Flatheads you're taking a huge step backward with J Crew.
