are jcrew cashmere sweaters worth the sale price of $90 (would need to be considerably better than their cotton/cashmere blend)? Or is it better to look elsewhere for cashmere.

In all honesty, I am done with wool(any kind for that matter). They peel to soon and end up looking ugly. Personally, I have always liked cotton the most.

two questions, how do the jaspe shirts fit? ie do i go tts or my j. crew size? and which shorts offer a slimmer fit? right now I have the 11 inch broken in shorts in my cart, those would be fine right?

Before I pull the trigger on some shirts today, I wanted to get the SF groupthink's position on the fit of a J.Crew small on me. Up until now, I've bought a few mediums from J.Crew but OTR they're a little blousy around the waist, e.g.: Versus the small I tried on the other day at the store: It seems to me that the small pulls a bit too much around the collarbones. Oh, and one last thing, does anyone have a fit opinion on the officer's chinos? How do they compare to something like the classic fit Bowerys?

You're welcome. As dictator, my only law will be narrow lapels and skinny ties for the rest of the week!

I think the 11in would look too long with the jaspe tees. I usually wear an L and the tees were shorter than I would have hoped, but going up a size adds more width than length. I know this doesnt help, but if you aren't worried TOO much about length, go TTS.

Thanks but the likelihood that I wear the jaspe and 11 inch would be fairly slim, I'm also fairly long. Length isn't an issue even though I'm long I'm more concerned with overall fit than I am with length. So when you say you wear an L is that J. Crew L or L in general and would going TTS mean getting my natural medium or my typical J. Crew Small? edit: After comparing inseam lengths to my favorite RRL shorts I think the 9 inch would work better.

The officer chinos are very, very baggy in the thigh compared to classic fit Bowerys. I had to return the officer chinos I ordered a few weeks ago.
