I should be getting mine back from the tailor today, I got a small but it was huge all around so i basically had him chop it up.
I had him taper the sleeves bring in the sides and shorten the length, hopefully I didn't go overboard.

Even a 2.75" tie is way too wide for the Ludlow lapels.

Good grief. The overthink on the lapel issue is nauseating.

haha he's really down to earth, actually wrote an article for a local nightlife blog here. nicest guy ever! as for freebies we did get goodie bags with a catalog, a copy of rules for my unborn son, and a nifty sleeve/collar stain bar from the laundress. there were also free drinks.

right now i'm in honolulu for mostly vacation/part working on a story. i visited the "j crew on the island" as it's not too far from our hotel, the swimwear selection is pretty great and my girlfriend saw some shorts and a floral cardigan she really wanted. i was wearing my red chambray and the guy working the men's shop was totally amazed to see it in person. it was pretty funny.

also, i highly recommend the short board shorts for anyone preparing to vacation, at 50 bucks they're not as steep when compared to brands like sundek, o'connell's, and birdwell's, and they dry fairly quickly after being out of the water for about 15 minutes or so. plus they're totally breathable.

Cool, thanks for the link. And I'm glad to learn you can order beers over the red phone.

Plan on buying the Ludlow and wearing it with some sort of skinny tie to a wedding next weekend. It fits off the rack quite well.

the Urban Slim Fit is their slimmest. I got a pair of the Essential Chino Urban Slims a couple days ago, they're exactly what I wanted in a chino. I got 32x34 but I don't have the hem measurement on hand. I eyeballed it at about 8" though.
