J Crew S/S 10 Discussion - Page 200

Anyone else get bored with jcrew and move on? I was all over jcrew a year ago, lots of purchases (especially on sale), but even at deep discount nothing seems worth it to me anymore. I guess ToJ and Epaulet have replaced it as my go to clothing, since they aren't much more expensive and the fit/quality is considerably better for me.

Well I guess it depends where you are in life because since I'm still a poor poor college student I can't really to afford upper quality clothing on my part time job. Which is why I like J.Crew, there's not that many places that offer decent 2-ply shirts which I can pick up for like $40 if they're on sale. There's some decent stuff to experiment with. I looked up the clothing on epaulet and they're basically double the price of JCrew shirts which seems like a considerable jump for. I don't think I've spent over $40 on any single item (except for my duffle coat). It just gives me the aesthetic I'm striving for at a price I can afford . Yay mall brand.

I've gotten a little bored. Moved from buying anything on sale to being much more selective. I think they have a few really cool things. Their shirts have never worked for me, anyway.

It's likely they will in the summer collection. I'm waiting for the urban slim fits in the Nantucket red that I missed last summer.

Oddly enough, I stopped receiving their catalogs ever since last December. I asked the CS to check if I was still in the subscriber list and the answer was positive. Now I have to email them every month requesting catalogs mailed.
