That's what I thought about the blue chambray when I bought it last year. Since it has turned out to be one of my favorite shirts and has held up well, it was well worth the price.

EDIT: Wow, you only paid $34? Great job. Mine was discounted, but not to that point.

I'm not the best judge of fit on shirts, as I am stockier than the rest of you all. But I got a large and it fit trim, but not as slim as most people like them here.

How I got it for $34 is a little aggressive, I guess. I bought it at full price and they gave me a coupon for 40% off every Wednesday in February. So I took it back to the store I bought it from and grabbed a replacement on a Wednesday.

My straps arrived today from David (this seller: http://natostrap.blogspot.com/2008/1...raps-in-8.html) They are much better and cost less than the JCrew. I recommend everyone buy your straps from him.

I got the watch from campingsurvival. It is very snazzy with a nato strap I got from ebay.

Also, is it just me, or are jcrew dress shirts slimmer than their others? I have a dress shirt (well now it has just turned into a casual shirt after wear/washing) in S and it (well seems like it) has a slimmer fit than my S secret wash ones, which are on the I'm-swimming side.

Might be something that's just me, but I like the JCrew ones because they're 10 5/8" long as opposed to the foot long ones that most places sell. This is because I have skinny wrists.

http://www.jcrew.com/browse/single_p...=1268091362733 I like this hoodie but I'm not about to pay 60$ bucks on it. I bought a very similar one at Kohls for 15$. Anyone know where I can get a white string.

Regarding the thirs shirt in the pic, I am pretty sure that it is red, white and blue. The shirt def has black buttons on it but when pairing the shirt under both a black and navy sweater the color matches the navy.

Anybody else seen this shirt in person that can comment?

white button, regular pocket. has buttons like regular JCrew dress shirt.

white buttons and camp pocket. different type of buttons though... like the ones used on some of the lightweight utility shirts.

black buttons and camp pocket. same buttons as above.
if this is the one you're referring to, I've got it and it's definitely red-black-white.

Btw, there's also a red-white-black plaid shirt in the lightweight line that might be in-store but not online yet either. Has white dress shirt buttons and button down collar if I recall. Cheaper option than the madras, which was $72.50 ($3 more than the other madras... why???). The lightweight was the standard $59.50.

I thinking about returning the Cotton Surplus sweater. I like the way it looks but I'm not sure if I have the guts to wear it out. It calls too much attention and it might be one of those items you look back on and think "what was I thinking?" Any opinons?

Good overall look, but I'd get those jeans taken in quite a bit from the knee down.

has anyone seen this model of the ludlow suit in store?

http://images.jcrew.com/erez4/erez?s...if&tmp=prdDtIm

how does the color / fine stripe look in person? sometimes jcrew web images can be deceiving.

are the ludlow pants cut similar to the urban slims?
