hey guys is the \turban slim-fit essential chino essential the same as the urban broken-in in chino minus the distressing? I like the broken-in chino but i like the fact that the essential chino gives you more options for inseam length and i dont have to go to the tailors.

im also guessing that the essential khaki color will be a bit darker than the broken-in khaki color because it is not washed as much?

Is there any alternative to JC Red Chambray? In other words, cheaper?

I've noticed J Crew hates stacking on their denim. Every photo I see has a nonchalant roll by the shoes, I sorta think it's a good look.

I think its cause I have never seen any fit pics of a Belstaff jacket with this underneath it, and because I didn't read the description. Sorry fella's.

The look (no break) is considered "modern." To each their own, I guess... (it's grown on me since I first saw it, but I still don't think I'd ever try to pull it off myself).

It can look great but harder to pull off. Easy to pull off in lookbooks and photoshoots online though. Most real life people look goofy/lame. Can be nice though

Yea. I guess a happy medium is rolling until there is just a minor break in the jean.

any thoughts on the JC red chambray vs. the Oliver Spencer red oxford? It's a much darker, more subtle color. Not sure if that's a plus or minus, but I do like the flap pocket.

I have a question for anybody that has or has tried on the 484 slim fit pants. I'm looking at the tompkins 484 pants. The thigh measurement customer service gave me is 24.75". I have 24" thigh and wear a 32 waist. Anybody near these measurements try these on? Thanks.

When I found out the red chambray had 25% linen, i called to cancel my preorder. Can't stand the feel of linen on my skin, even in a blend. Saw the red chambray at 484 Bway today. Thought the color was ok, but not great.

So instead, I picked up a red chambray at Lucky Brand Jeans today. $30 cheaper and a nicer red, IMO. Check it out.

How did the chambray feel?

How does the fit on that compare to secret wash shirts?

Without measuring, I'd say the Lucky Chambray fits about the same as the J Crew Chambrays. Maybe a touch larger. (And the chambray fits larger than the secret wash, as we all know)

i have a lucky brand store not too far away...i'll check it out this week

That Lucky Brand shirt looks a little too loose for me. Anyone know where I can get a similar red chambray that's slimmer than the j crew one?
