Yes, I have largely replaced it with Cocchi Vermouth del Torino, which is my favorite vermouth. I am jealous that you have those new Martinis; I still have not seen the Gran Lusso anywhere. We now have a Carpano dry and bianco, which I would like to try, though I usually stay with Dolin for both.

My continuing love for vermouth and quinquinas, however, means that I have to try pretty much every vermouth I see, but my stable of favorites has been stable for some time now. Though, probably my favorite of all is the Cocchi Barolo Chinato. It is quite dear, though it is amazing. The flavors are very wine-heavy, which I love about it.

I won a bottle of Belsazar Vintage Rosé (first batch limited to 2000 bottles, 35 €)! :slayer: 19.5%, up to five year old rosés from Wagner/Brack/Schladerer (Kaiserstuhl, Baden-Württemberg). The regular Rosé "is flavoured with infusions of pink grapefruit, orange blossom, pomeranze, raspberries and redcurrants" (according to diffordsguide).
Belsazar is pretty new; they started last year with a white, dry, rosé and red and quickly became popular. The Vintage Rosé is the first new product.

Will report back once it's here, haven't tried any vermouth of their lineup yet tbh. I'll pick up a bottle of the regular Rosé to compare them.

If you can get it, I strongly recommend Valdespino's Jerez Quina. I believe it is the last Jerez Quina produced, although apparently in ages past virtually every jerez producer also made a quina.

I'm drinking:

And it's brilliant. I will have a hard time resisting putting it in a negroni, but since I won't be in Spain any time soon, I'd rather save it for straight aperitivo-ing.

Wow, I never heard of Jerez Quina before and I love sherry. Are there any sites in the EU that sell it? I live in London.

Speaking of Spanish vermouths, I just got a bottle of Lacuesta. Fantastic, kind of orange tasting, but not fake-orange like Aperol, and not too expensive.

Here ya go--very cheap. Here's the only thing I've read about it in English.

Likely won't have access to Lacuesta any time soon (that sort of thing doesn't make its way to Seoul unless I carry it here haha), but I'll try to remember it next time I do--sounds good.

This arrived last week. Didn't get around to pick up a bottle of their regular Rosé. Come to think of it, I I haven't had a single rosé vermouth before. So this is new to me. Anyway. Good stuff. Not that bitter, HUGE cherry notes. It's 19.5% and they fortified it with brandys from Schladered. I suspect they used quite a bit of Kirschwasser. So.. ultimately, good stuff, probably finds its applications in a few cherry-forward cocktails, good aperitif. But at 35 €, I won't pick it up again (not like there's any bottles left from the first batch anyway).

Try Cocchi Americano Rosa. I find it good for cocktails, quite tannic. As for drinking on its own, not so great, similar to Cocchi Americano. I do love Cocchi Vermouth di Torino. I find their Barrolo Chinoto a little too medicinal.

Just beautiful. Fruity, complex, spicy, herbal, bitter.

Still waiting for info on when I can score me some Martini Riserva Speciale...

Anyone have thoughts on punt e mes? Is it considered a sweet vermouth or some sort of vermouth/amaro hybrid?

Edit: I bought some. great stuff. Like a sweet vermouth with some bitterness on the finish.

Reds: Dolin or Cocchi (Torino) for either mixing in cocktails or sipping over ice.
Whites: Dolin, Noily Pratt or Lillet. Mainly for making martinis. Used to use Vya but lost the taste for it. Plus, I prefer the aesthetics of a crystal clear martini and Vya martinis looked dirty to me.
