Crazy Heart - my fav. movie of the last few months

I just saw this film. It's really fantastic. If you need these kinds of comparisons, it's like Walk the Line meets The Wrestler. It was very well acted, well written and was just a great movie.

Great music and performances, but it's stretched pretty thin at almost two hours. You know exactly what's going to happen, it's just a question of when he bottoms out and fucks everything up - which makes the middle section seem much longer than it should.

I enjoyed this film as well. Bridges was superb. Give him the Oscar already.

It looks cheesy but I will see it based on my love for Americana/country and Jeff Bridges. Seems like a decent movie for a date.

I finally watched this tonight. Really enjoyed it. If you haven't seen it, please do...Bridges is phenomenal.

I believe he did win the Oscar for Crazy Heart. Although, personally, I was hoping Colin Firth would get it for A Single Man. This year seems more likely for Firth, as Bridges isn't up against him again.

Bridges definitely deserved the Oscar for this. He's an incredible actor, and the day that I watched Crazy Heart really proved it for me. I was on a flight, and after Crazy Heart, I put on Men who Stare at Goats. It was about 45 minutes into that movie before I went "holy shit, that's Jeff Bridges too."
