Can someone recommend me some really good green tea? I usually just go to my local asian market and pick which one looks the best lol. I look for the ones without caffeine, but I have no clue on which is the best one. Any recommendations?

Green tea helps me in the "feeling of well-being" department as well as with appetite supression. And if I feel like vomiting, I drink it on an empty stomach!

Green tea is great for you, but not so much better than any other tea out there to justify you choosing it over black or oolong if that is what you prefer.

The best tea for you is the one you enjoy most since you will drink more of it.

I drink about 3 cups a day at work. It has benefited me in that by drinking it I avoid drinking coffee. I take coffee with and creamer and sugar, so that's a lot of calories.

Whole leaf is better. The dried ones in a bag are filled with chemicals, most of which are preservatives.

How do you guys drink this crap straight with nothing in it? Is there a certain variety that actually has flavor? As opposed to the other brands of green tinted piss that I've been trying.

Green tea has exploded in popularity in the West in the past years because of its health benefits, derived from antioxidants. From cancer to heart disease and possibly weight loss, the advantages of making a cup or two of green tea a daily part of your diet routine are numerous. Even though there are many diet products on the market that include green tea extracts, there is no scientific evidence to suggest that green tea will make a marked difference in helping you lose those unwanted pounds. But studies are currently underway to test this hypothesis further and provide more comprehensive information on the role of green tea and diet.

Looks like the guys at the FDA are working over time. The FDA is unhappy with Lipton green tea and from what they have found, might declare the beverage a drug.

From Dr Eade's Twitter sight:

It's good to know that our nanny state never sleeps.
