Thanks for the jeans thread link...finding jeans that fit well for a 32 waist and 25.5 upper legs is difficult. APC NS actually worked pretty well though because of the stretch.

I noticed the thread on sweaters that's linked in the first post doesn't really have any useful results.

Has anyone tried Banana Republic's XS sizes?

I just made an order of 2 (of the same, different colors) crew neck, and one half-zip, sweaters.

I'll post on how it turns out in a few days.

Let me know if any of you have had any luck with these.

I find my BR merino sweater in small to fit me quite nicely. So does a cashmere one I got from Costco. But then again, I'm not too picky in sweater fit. Maybe I should be? For jeans, I've found that Levi STF 501's fit me darn near perfectly. For polos, the Ralph Lauren small custom fits are perfect. I mean, down to the waist perfect. Chest is a little tight, but they stretch, so its good. Only complaint is the sleeve width. Very very tight. But I hear it will loosen up in time.

That's good to hear about the BR sweaters. What are your Chest / Neck / Waist / Height measurements? The crew necks I ordered are the (same) merino wool ones.

Nearly the same as me, maybe I should've also ordered the small.

A slim fitting sweater can look absolutely superb. Thanks for the heads up on BR. Though I'm probably a L or XL.

Haha. A lot more guys are willing to start a thread about "where can I buy jeans for my huge thighs" than "where can I buy jeans for my enormous glutes".

LOL.

Probably because a thicker thigh will fit the bigger glute.

Thankfully, I don't have either. Yet...

Actually, I found a decent fitting Tee sorta by accident (just stocking up on undershirts): Hanes Tagless small V-necks--way roomier in the chest area than the crewnecks, short, fairly slim around the waist. Light, but still nice. Still on a hunt for good crewnecks though...

They're pretty good, but i've found the rise is a little high, especially if you're kinda short. Not a huge problem, for casual wear, but if you're tucking anything in, your torso is going to look a little bit shorter. And if you let them sag a bit, the high rise then extends down below your crotch and shortens your leg. Then again, I wear my pants pretty tight and never tuck in anything so this isn't really a problem--just something to keep in mind.

Have you tried Armani Exchange's Pima Cotton Crews?

I just bought one of every color because they fit so well. I posted about them on a different thread about a week ago:

I'm a modestly athletic build (lift weights 5 days a week) but a small guy - 37.5" chest and 28" waist. I would think their larger sizes are proportional though if you're bigger.

Also - the sleeves actually come down far enough - just over half way down my upper arm, which is very unusual for me. Having a larger chest / shoulders for my torso, usually t-shirt sleeves get hiked up. Not so with these.

The fabric is also very soft, sleep quality.

I should mention that they are form-fitting, but the proportions are perfect.

What size did you get? They're on sale online right now actually.

Ah I guess I left that out - I got both the XS and S in white and found that the XS fit best all around (p2p, neck, and length-wise). Because they stretch, there wasn't much a difference in the overall form-fittingness of them.

Especially perfect for undershirts, and my girl loves the "snuggle factor" of the pima cotton haha.

If you want, I could attempt the measurements since I kept both (I can just tuck the larger one in when wearing as an undershirt).

Nah, it's cool. I'm not going to get any without trying them on first. Thanks for the tip!
