Could brown be a new black? - Page 2

quite frankly, i don't even really know what it means when someone says "is this (insert color) the new "it" color?"

questioning is the new black.

I am very happy with my only brown suit and I will probably get a new brown one soon; I am considering brown with blue pinstripes.
Now, if brown ever becomes the new black in the sense that when I go to a bar or "club" everybody around me is wearing brown stuff similar to what I am wearing, well, then I may actually consider getting myself a black outfit.

Shoes are about the only item of black apparel I would ever wish to own, and I am not over-fond of black shoes, even if they are a necessity for a well dressed gentleman in certain circumstances.

Should I have occasion to commission a dinner jacket, it will surely be midnight blue.

Almost all of my shoes are brown or burgandy, and my suits are headed towards grey and brown too. Maybe its just me, but black does seem a lttle too formal or even dated possibly. Black certainly has its occasions. Tastes change...
