Is this the kind of thing where you have to be familiar with the comic book and this is why I don't get it? Sure looks like it but then it's a trailer.

I'm pretty sure I "got it" and didn't know there was a comic book until you just told me.

I meant that It looks like generic superhero crap w. nothing interesting going on. But I assume it's from a comic book (marvel reference at the start) and some peeps are now seeing their fav characters on screen. You know like that movie with the weird atomic blue guy where everyone was oohing and aaahing as soon as teasers came out.

If you are referencing Watchmen, it's because Watchmen is widely considered to be one of the best comic series of all time. Of course people got excited. Kick-Ass I've never previously heard of. That being said, what makes a generic superhero movie any worse than a generic action movie, or a generic romantic comedy, or anything else? Just because a movie doesn't contain an instantly recognizable character or scenario, and the trailer doesn't give away the whole plot of the movie - doesn't automatically disqualify it from being interesting. From the trailers, I gather it's a story about a bunch of kids with no discernible superpowers, who take it upon themselves to fight crime. This is hardly a new scenario, but normally these movies are targeted at kids. This one does not appear to be. Which could be interesting and somewhat new. Perhaps you are just biased.

I see this as sort of a Mystery Men type of movie. Which I happened to like.

Hit-Girl looks like fun and McLovin' plays a character so I see potential.

Little surprised about the title. I'm sure some media outlets will have problems with the ads/reviews.
