Savagely made-up petite-bodied hookers with 12 inch dicks, dance-floor abortions, sexed-up young men defiled by an 80 year old fat babushka all done under the grey murky sunlight of a decayed Soviet empire. It's quite classy really. It occupies a place next to the complete recordings of Bach on vinyl.

It has a certain joie-de-vivre that is lacking in Japanese cinema of that ilk. It's rather more John Waters.
