I'm having trouble finding someone who can do a classic mens haircut without issue. I want someone who knows what to do without me telling them what they need to do other then the general style....IE cutting the sides short enough that it doesnt look like a Bob in two weeks.

I found one over the summer but he changed salons and I've yet to track him down.

Thanks guys!

Nothing? Alright would anyone find any interest in a good barber in this area when I finally find one.

The first step, if you haven't already, is to stop going to male barbers. For every decent male barber there are a few dozen great female hair stylists. The odds of finding a great male barber are slim to none. Check yelp.com for reviews of barbers and hair stylists in Princeton.

The past couple of female stylists I've gone to have done nothing that lasts more then 2 weeks before it grows out horribly, I'm looking for someone who can cut my hair similarly to the duke of Windsor in my avatar. Prior to that my male stylist (not a barber) was excellent, but he's hard to find. Most of them are, they stay at a place for six months or a year and move on.

Travelling to Philly for a day? Groom Barber Shop is awesome. Ask for Joe. 215-545-2626

Have you been to Mike's on Witherspoon? Some of the other barbers can be hit-or-miss, but Mike himself is great.

Skinny, I feel like I've hit all the places in Hamilton at one time or another. I usually go to barber shops as I keep my hair pretty short. Have you tried the "old fashioned" barbershop on Rt 33 (in the complex which has Jade billiards, near the car rental place)? I think it's called Christian's? I've been going to Gabe's barbershop lately (near Pete's Steakhouse) and they do a good job, but as I said, I have short hair. If you are looking for a stylist, I know a guy most of my friends go to on Route 1 (in the complex where Marshall's/Whole Foods is). Let me know if you need his info and I'll PM you.

Thx, will do.

Millionaire, I've tried most of those places, they come up short with what i'm looking for. Its a rare style for a hamiltonian, but popular amongst the older crowd in Princeton.

Went to continental today. Good staff, they did a great job, but overall a bit pricey for a barber shop, $29 for a haircut.

Mikes is out of business, he's going to reopen in a new location on witherspoon soon.

Trying some new hair products as well shampoos and conditioners.

Best one i got was from Sarah at Ulta. It's on route 1 south in the same giant mall as Wegman's, Kohl's, Home Depot, etc.

For those interested:

Went to Princeton Barbershop today, its on Nassau St. had my hair cut by Tony, he's an excellent barber and interesting to converse with.

Both the work he did and the stylish from Continental (whose switching back to Mike's new shop) are excellent, I highly recommend both.

They totally blew any Hamilton barbers/stylists out of the water, in my experience.
