Is this the best time to buy Brooks Brothers? (semi annual after xmas)

Right now I need ties, slim fit polos, and maybe a pair of shoes. Is the after xmas sale the time to buy those items? Anything in particular that I should get because it won't get any cheaper?

With the 25% off plus 15% on Shoes including shell Cordovans and Peals, if they have your size I say yes.

A good time for suits--if again you can find your size. A good time to pick up some dress shirts.
Not so sure about the Ties.

BB doesn't have a lot of fall/winter inventory this year, so now is probably the best time to buy. The SA was telling me yesterday that they have more spring goods in the store already than remaining fall/winter items. The huge discounts we saw this time last year won't be needed to move the remaining fall/winter goods.

The slim fit polos selection is limited in the after x-mas sale. A better time to get those would be the summer sale when the selection is much larger.

What's on sale though? Most suits in the Fitzgerald line are not at a significant discount to the 2 for $1,400 or so promotion they were running. I see the Mad Men edition suit is finaly at a discount, but aside from that and the black pinstripe and a couple others, nothing that notable in the Fitzergald line. This does not take into account the 15% discount, which is a nice kicker. Any real steals on BB merchandise?

Cordovan shoes since they rarely go on discount; otherwise, the sale is not that spectacular, at least for the items that interest me most.

I dunno. Most Black Fleece is 50% off. I'd say that's a good deal if you like the current line of BF

Shirts at 3 for $159 + 15% kicker is also a good sale, since it includes the basic solids that you won't find in the outlets on sale

I hadn't realized that BF had been reduced further since yesterday morning. Yes, 50% plus the 15% kicker is a good deal. It's enough to make me reconsider some items.

agreed on the BF. finally picked up the cashmere cardigan sweater jacket I had been drooling over for ages.

aside from waiting to see if certain things eventually end up on Gilt, can't imagine BF going for much better prices, and with the full selection still available.

Do the sale items have limited returns? I'd love to grab some burgundy cordovan wing tips, but in the past with BB shoes, I've needed to size up to an 11 because of tightness around the pinky... In everything else (incl. all my AE) I'm a 10.5. Want to try the 10.5E, but afraid of getting stuck with an ill-fitting shoe. Appreciate the help

They look GREAT when they are new; After washing not so much.

wait... so are all BF suits and shirts 50% off in stores? because the discounts online look pretty weak, and i dont think the 15% is showing up either
