Yea but I need a daily driver and to build a really nice and reliable muscle car you're going to spend a lot of money unless you know how to do the work. Some of the newer "muscle" cars are kind of cool. I can get a new fully loaded Challenger SRT8 and put the Vortech supercharger kit on it for 55. Vortech says it puts out 560.

You're looking at it all wrong! Desire a payment. A lease payment

M3

Will be very hard to find a reasonably equipped M3 for under $65,000.

FTFY

For all you middle-aged overcompensaters, if your budget is between 45-70K then the answer will always be a Cayman.

I'm not middle aged though. I'm 22. I'm not going through a crisis.

How do you tell the difference between "compensating" and "over compensating"?
If you need 4 doors and you live in an area that gets snow, the answer is a used Audi S8. You can get a low mileage 2007 for under 60 if you look hard.

Used, but depending on your taste: 993 E63/E55 AMG CTS-V

For me, it would probably be a S5 based on styling, or a Z06 based on performance.

At your age with your budget the cayman is a no brainer.

overcompensaters want something fast and flashy b/c they want to impress their social circle. Not b/c they actually have a passion and genuine interest in that style of car. I've liked fast cars since I was a child and I will continue to like them until I die. So when I am 45 and I have the money to get that expensive fast car, it will come from my interest in the car. Not b/c I want to impress anyone

the M3 gets my vote. Cayman is good but the M3 offers more versatility. however, there is a better plan:

Nice rationalization. I have rarely met a man that is not interested in fast cars.
