Apartment bedroom for early 20s

I am 20yo and a grad student. I'm on winter break and thinking of ways to liven up my otherwise boring bedroom. I am renting from my roommate who has taken care of the kitchen and living room, so my room is the only way to express my style. I plan to stay here for 2 more years. The room is generic with beige carpets and white walls, and as much as I'd love to have a contemporary and minimalistic theme, I am not allowed to put in hard wood floors or paint the walls (not that I have the budget anyway). So I'll wait to have a proper bachelor's pad, and until then, what are ways to spruce up a room for a young man in their early 20s? Something that wouldn't embarrass me if I took a girl home or had buddies around, and yet something different than empty beer bottles stacked up to the ceiling and a Belushi college poster. I already have a full bed, chest, and desk-- all mahogany colored. Budget is under ~$100 and no Ikea. I was given the master bedroom so lots of space to play around.

Random ideas:
-Poster of Steve Mcqueen and his Ferrari, B/W
-Poster art from a band
-Bedside table, cool looking bedside lamp
-Old "indian" wooden lacrosse stick that was given to me by my former coach, not sure where to put it.
-Sticky Hooks to put up jackets or hats.
-Bookcase to put random stuff..like..? (besides books of course)

Probably out of your budget but I would suggest night stand / lamp. Otherwise, perhaps a big mirror for the wall - you can get a framed one from target / bed bath beyond for pretty cheap.

This is the bit you need to worry about.

At 20 I was more worried about getting laid then how my apartment looked. Hmmm maybe thats why all my younger friends have shitty places.

I think the more important question is: what graduate program accepted a 20 (19?) year old?

I'm in my first semester in pharmacy school, requires at least 2 years of prereqs.

Don't laugh too soon because I'm not the youngest. A girl in my class graduated high school early at 17, got accepted and starts attending at 19.
