C&J Savile or Weymouth?

Which one is better? They both seem pretty sleek and are the same price.

Weymouth.

Savile. I think whole cuts are overhyped around here. But the Weymouths are more versatile, if you can live with the styling.

Not when it comes to shoes.

Depends on your shoe situation. Do you already have a wholecut? A monk strap? When I was considering which to get (my choice was the same as yours), I chose the Savile based on the fact that I already had the Loake Norwich in my collection, and it's pretty similar to the Weymouth.

It seems like the Savile is sleeker than the Weymouth. Is this true?

When you've spent a little while longer here, you'll understand.

Both, then buy Selbourne and Millbank for good measure. That would make a good start, methinks!

No. Same last.

Weymouth.

EDIT: Buckles are not sleek.

Disclosure: I own the Savile but not the Weymouth.

Weymouth-I have it in two colors and they constantly get complimented. They shine up beautifully.

not a big fan of the plain-vamped, large, single-buckle monk straps. they remind me too much of the footwear worn on the Mayflower and pilgrims. i suppose.

get the weymouth.

It really does depend on your needs. I own both, but I've worn the Weymouth (and not gotten around to wearing the Saville yet - don't ask) and I REALLY enjoy wearing them. They are very comfortable and I've always been a fan of wholecuts.

But the Saville is a nice shoe also.

Decisions, decisions.
