How much should I tolerate a hostile drunk? - Page 2

I'd tolerate them for about three minutes, or until their behaviour becomes unbearable.

Then just accept they're a douchebag and get the hell away from them. If sticking around (because, after all, you have as much right to be there as them, right?) seems likely to cause anger or resentment, then it's better to swallow your pride and at least know you did the decent thing, making every reasonable effort to avoid a confrontation.

If all else fails, a cheap shot to the kidneys will make you feel better.

You don't need to go into the issue of whether one was irresponsible for getting drunk in the first place, just the control over hostile statements made while drunk.

Do not tolerate it at all. There's nothing worse than someone who can't handle their alcohol (whether they turn slutty, violent, sick or hurtful). Don't encourage her by drinking with her, also when she's sober lay into her for how much of a fool she made of herself and she needs to work on her underlying issues.

sloppy drunks. do not want. nothing's worse than drunks who let loose the shit storm of their emotional lives. I get it, it's a coping mechanism, but it's no fun for anyone. talk to her sober and ask her straight up what her problem is and that its in bad taste and embarrassing for her more than anyone else.

So... that's that.

OP: Ask your sister if she wants to see your cock.

What are your choices really? If you decide not to tolerate, what do you do?

Decide for yourself to drink in moderation. Those who drink to excess often do so because they have other issues that need sorting out. Understand where they are coming from then forgive and forget. Harbor no grudges and forgive often and completely.
