Motorcycle heavy movies

There are probably not many countries in the world that put stricter demands for acquiring a (motorcycle) driving license, than The Netherlands.* I've been snowed in from the second test and need a motorcycle fix, fast. I even dream of driving, now... Probably the driving starts again somewhere after new year. If the weather doesn't stop us. Which movies would you recommend I should watch until then? Bear in mind that I'll probably never drive a chopper and have seen "Harley Davidson and the motorcycle man". *Basicly there are 3 examns. 1 Theory of traffic (MC examn with 50 questions of 'can you do this?' or 'who has priority?', etc.) 2 AVB: Vehicle control. This is tested by having the motorcyclist drive around cones. For instance the 'figure eight' could be asked for or the 'eland (moose) test' or three different kinds of 'stop tests' 1, 2, 3, or one of the slaloms and several others... 3 AVD: The road test. In this test one drives like on the road, following the applicable rules.

Easy Rider

fuck a movie.

read Hunter S. Thompson's "Hells Angels"

Also there's Jack Nicholson in "Hells Angels on Wheels" but in truth - that shit is weak.

Definitely "Easy Rider" ... dennis hopper is a thug!

Also while it isn't a motorcycle centric movie there is the classic scene out of 'The Great Escape'

+1 on reading Thompson's 'Hells Angels'

You could try The Wild One as well. Another that I have heard about - but have yet to see would be My Bodyguard (not The Bodyguard ). It isn't a motorcycle movie per say, but a pair of kids in the movie find an old bike and head out on the road or so a motorcycle mad friend has told me.

The Great Escape (Steve McQueen) has a memorable motorcycle scene, but it's not exactly moto-heavy. Still, it's a movie that everyone should see.

While the motorcycle scene is short I agree - fantastic movie.

You didn't say they had to be good movies.

Long Way Round (LWR) is a documentary television series documenting the 19,000 miles (31,000 km) journey of Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman from London to New York on motorcycles. This is really good. Also a good drinking game - a shot every time Ewan McGregor drops his bike. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnudT...x=0&playnext=1

Thank you. I think I'd rather see the new Karate kid. I actually saw that. It lacks story, among other things.
