i just saw a local shop here selling knockoffs of the table, as well as some mies-like end tables. the faux-guchi was, like, $800 or something.

yeah, I thought the glass was quite thick on the Noguchi?

Yes, either 3/4 " or 5/8" tempered glass. It's quite heavy and, as it is tempered, if it shatters the entire sheet shatters. It really is quite high-quality glass though, deep green when viewed from the edge.
