Pocket Designs and Identifying Marks - Page 2

i like no pocket stitching or very little pocket stitching. i'm not a fan of samurai's design. sda and SC are alright in my book. i don't care what other people think i'm wearing- if they think i'm wearing cheap levi's copies so be it. i guess i'll contribute: 45rpm sorahiko (aihiko has the same pocket design) 45rpm jomon (horsehead R) Pure Blue Japan AI-001 - Blue tab, two color stitching

I was going to post up an APC pocket, but i realised what an exercise in futility it would be. coldrice i wish i could be as straight as you are about what other people think unfortunately my mind fails to work rationally at some things and this is one of them. it's funny because i'd rather not have people think i'm wearing anything of note at all (blank pockets), than think i'm pretending to wear a particular brand (repro levi's or lee arcuates for eg). i know it makes no sense, but it's just the way i operate. i'll still take blank pockets anytime because i like their almost-generic minimalism. To continue, Dior Homme pockets stolen off a rakuten site, http://www.rakuten.co.jp/mb/172657/458124/

Warehouse Duckdigger

Full Count

i really like the duckdigger design for some reason. even though it seems a bit superfulous (especially to me, who doesn't like pocket designs). they look really good though. might pick up a pair. and i think the full count stitching is horrendous- it looks like a kindergartener's drawing or something.

The full count is just a Levi's arcuate with elongated bars... I dont think they considered too much whether it was a particularly unique stitching.

yeah, the stitching on the duckdiggers is perhaps the best I've seen.
I used to not like Samurai's stitching and hate Fullcount's, but now I love Samurai's and kind of like Fullcount's.
I usually only wear jeans with blank pockets, but I let these get away with it because no one recognises it and therefore it's obvious I'm not wearing them to show off.

I'm still not sure what to think of Flat Head's arcuate though..

I don't dislike any of the pseudo-Levis arcuates, including Full Count and Flat Head. I think it's kind of amusing how they toyed with the design. I like the way the Sugarcanes ones disintegrate. I can't stand Evis(u) seagulls, though.

I don't mind the Duckdigger back pockets, but the embroidered front pockets are too ornate for my tastes.

yeah. but it makes it look like crap imo.

i disliked duck diggers at first but am starting to turn around after i've seen them. the front pockets i haven't decided on yet.

i like samurai stitching (at first i didn't) and full counts. i liked tfh at first but now i don't (gleem is similar but better). the oni single stich is very nice.

i like the pure blue AI stitching better in pictures than in person ... i'd still buy them but only for the denim.

i'd prefer 45rpm without any stitching although the "R" isn't bad. the simple R is better than the horsehead, but both are so small it doesn't matter much.

Yeah the Duckdigger design seems a bit over the top at first, but I think the dark thread with the super dark denim really makes it. Had the same design been done with a lighter thread it would probably come off as very tacky. I also like the design around the front pockets, at first I was leary, but it grew on me very fast.

I kinda like the look of the Fullcount design, but then again, I have no problem wearing louder patterns or colors.
