Don't need to tell me that. I was just referencing the foods you typically hear people mention when they are talking about miserably dieting down on "clean" foods.

Clean foods is like the gym version of assault rifles, bullshit.

I'm paranoid about sugar so I don't touch any. I'm eating 2k a day, give or take, maintenance is probably around 2600. The worst thing I eat, besides alcohol, are organic bread crumbs made of rice flour that I put on my cod, but it has no flavor. I soak the cod in almond milk and lemon juice beforehand. I try to eat quite a bit of good fats from guacamole, cottage cheese, olive oil, fish, etc.

That sounds miserable

Even when I drink I'm doing 100 proof shitty vodka chased down by water. Probably gonna stop soon. Just haven't had time to go to the gym regularly.

+1 on learning how to cook. You'd be surprised how much good food and protein you can fit into ~600-700 calories

It's honestly not that hard to use a crockpot or get good seasoning for chicken breast etc. Fish cooked with soy sauce/whatever and lime is really good too with brown rice and veggies.

I'm 'lucky' in that I rarely, if ever, get sick of food, but I can't imagine doing what you're doing.

For lunch I usually eat chicken sausage and eggs with veggies and salsa. Maybe a bit of cheese and/or guac/avacado thrown on there and sometimes eaten with a tortilla. That takes like no time and is a pretty solid meal.

For dinner, I'll either end up eating trader joe's wraps, or cook chicken breast or turkey/salmon/beef/whatever burgers with veggies and whatever.

Breakfast is either cereal or greek yogurt with granola or sometimes a smoothie or shake. If anything I probably don't consume enough calories some days, but tend to eat more around my workout and haven't really been losing weight or gaining much if any and I've definitely leaned out a bunch since last semester so it all seems to be working I guess!

If you learn like 3-4 basic marinades, you can mix up the meats and change seasoning on your veggies. If you have a cast iron pan, it's sick because you can just sear whatever and throw it in the oven while you shower.

How do you become a self sufficient adult without learning how to cook is beyond me.

Cooks Illustrated is another reliable source for recipes that are simple to execute.

RTC why on earth are you so mad? Did I personally insult you or something? I know it can't be passing judgment on your high quality posts, because there are none.

It's unfortunate but if you are from a socially regressive country/culture it's pretty common as a guy to have barely stepped inside a kitchen.

So you are doing a 600 calorie deficit per day with no training?

Why?

The muscle to fat loss ratio will be terrible at that large deficit without training. You are setting yourself back.

Lol what are you talking about? Did you get me and the llama mixed up? I've never had a problem with you.

Unless you're referring to my coronary comment, where I was totally kidding because we've talked about being data nerds here before.
